Hmm, it was fun in pistol and disaster in rifle! Maybe somekind of "drop out" competition can be ok, but just for fun. We have great finals now in the Olympic events and there is lot of drama. If you was watching ECH Meraker you know that. There is just only one thing to wake up the media and see our sport in TV. That is money! If first price is 100000 Euros, there will be all medias with us! Without big money it´s just the same what we do for the finals in long run. MONEY TALKS, pity!
Pistol shooters look like hobby shooters ! Require at least they use the vests! Taking away the shooting jacket and trousers for rifle shooters is the same as making the sport a hobby sport that has nothing in the Olympics to do! The athlete can not train as you would expect from a athlete who will participate in an Olympics, without being crippled in the course of a year!
There were too many shooters simultaneously! Max eight! Rifle shooting was a farce ! Finals in international championships and events should be about equal to the super final in Hell open! Booked for the worst shot. Next time with the worst shot is out of the competition! The last two remaining competing for gold and silver! This will all understand and shooting could become a TV sports!
I was there, and it was a great show i had a fun time watching it! The pistol top gun was a real competition it was exciting from the first to the last shot. But i'm not sow happy about removing the rifle shooters clothing.. The rifle competition wasn't that exiting, because the shoothers couldn't do there best without there clothing. I talked to some of the top shoothers after the top gun. They told me it was a lot of fun, but not a real competition when the clothing wasn't there.
: The top gun concept is definitely what shooting sport needs to attract media and new supporters of this fabulous sport. However as speaker both at the Hell Open competition and EC in Meråker- I can clearly see that the top gun event can be improved technologically. At Hell Open the Mega Link system can very rapidly show the lowest score in red so that all spectators can see it clerarly.
Finally! Someone has at last realized that shooting has to be something for the spectators as well. Not to take away the kind we have but to have something more. A lot of airgun-clubs in southern Sweden has had this as a fun-competition for the beginners. It is time to give shooting an awakening. Me and my kids LOVED TO WATCH THIS! Exciting and nervous.... Please let us have more of this to watch! (And compete in.)
