President's Greeting

Honorary members
Member federations
Members of the ESC Presidium and Committees
Fellow Continental Confederations and
All friend of the shooting sport!

We are at the end of a World Championships year, a year full of excitement for ISSF and it's five continental confederations They all participated in the Championships with the best qualified shooters.

Thanks to the fact that the World Championships took place in Europe 47 of 48 ESC member federations were given the possibility to take part with big teams and contribute to the European success. Out of 162 individual medals 102 came to Europe, 30 gold, 38 silver and 34 bronzes. A humble thanks to participating shooters and federations!

With the World Championships the last quota places of the year were distributed, and so far European shooters have gained 115, and still there is one year of distribution before the accounts are settled!

Two European Championships are accomplished this year, in Moscow and in Maribor. The participation of the member federations was almost complete and the performance of the shooters at the highest level. The whole shooting family is grateful to the organizers for the enthusiasm displayed. The organizers are the pillars of our existence!

Next year the ESC central bodies will be reorganized according to decisions made by the General Assembly 2005. The traditional discipline committees will disappear and be replaced by a Technical Committee, existing of an equal number of representatives from all disciplines. We are prepared for the reorganization and are excited to experience the future results.

On behalf of the Presidium I thank you for excellent collaboration in the year coming to an end, send you my Season's Greetings and the best wishes for a peaceful and prosperous new year!

Yours truly

Unni Nicolaysen
ESC President
